Divergence IV - " A New Hope "
by jurialmunkey
Requires Murrine Engine > 0.98
INSTALLATION
I have removed the installer because too many people complained about it. Here are install instructions:
Extract the .zip to a folder
Open Appearance Preferences
Click "Install..."
Locate the folder you extracted the .zip to and select "A-New-Hope.tar.gz"
CUSTOMISATION
Open Nautilus
Press Ctrl+H to show hidden folders
Open ".themes"
Open "A-New-Hope"
Double Click customise.py
EMERALD (TRANSPARENCY)
To get transparency, you will need to install Compiz and Emerald. There are emerald themes included within the .zip file.
To make emerald stay default, go into CompizConfig Settings Manager > Window Decoration > and in the box next to "Command" enter: emerald --replace
Then hit ALT + F2 to get a run dialog and enter: emerald --replace
AWN - AVANT WINDOW NAVIGATOR
The AWN style used is called Lucido. There are themes in the .zip

KNOWN ISSUES
- Metacity can only be used with left sided buttons. (A right side version will come soon)
- Toolbar colours which are not dark make the breadcrumbs look ugly.
- Metacity only follows colour changes correctly with the A New Hope gtk (this is due to minor hack that had to be implemented in order for the colour changes to work. There is also a fixed colour version of the metacity which matches with Ambiance)
- Window title text sizes over 15pnt cause issues
- TESB colour changes do not change the colours of the rounded corners of the sidebar (this is due to pixmaps being used and unfortunately cannot be fixed)

Daily Deviation
Given 2010-10-24Divergence IV - "A New Hope" by ~jurialmunkey - the suggester said: "Looks to me like someone has just broken the walls down. Beautiful and unusual color combination with simple window buttons together with little aero look. Favesome Gnome theme that should be in your pocket of Linux theme collection."

how can I fix it?
in order for the theme to work :
1) you have used 3 awn panels
2)gnome panel is still on the top but it have invisible background(not expandable mode)
2.a) or gnome panel disabled and 4 awn panels used las one you did not picked style so it is clear ..... when you disabled gnome panel no right click action on desktop and no folders.....
3) background picture have additional black points on the corners
am i close to the solution
If you have any panel images for 1920x1080 res, can you publish them or update the existing link?
explaining some features I would like to see in the gnome
linux I wrote my message in open office copied it closed it "do you
want to save,I click no control v into g mail and and get -blank
nothing rrr
okay so basically I talked about really liking gnome shell, I'm a new
user I thought it would be easy-er to find no click function on
activities if you put and triangle or half circle in the corner there.
I would also like to be able to navigate with directional keys on
gnome desktop eg. left right to go between windows and applications
then down to and using directional keys navigate applications or open
applications. hold left key and use up and down to scroll in left
category menu or between work spaces
maybe also hold left and up and down keys to scroll the dash but then
I realized these keys might not work well together
you guys do a awesome job
gnome-intuitive and productive
Linux is not about a mouse with one button.
